Signs of aging…

Today I had stuffed pizza, which is a variation of the Chicago style pizza known as deep dish. Stuffed pizza is like deep dish, except that there’s an extra layer of dough that goes over the cheese, tomato sauce, and other toppings. Then they put more tomato sauce on top of this second layer, so you can’t really tell it’s stuffed pizza until you cut into it.

An idea

Here’s an inspiration I got from visiting the media gallery at ricoreeds.com:

Take a song’s chord progression and lengthen the number of bars per chord using Band In A Box. For example, take the A section of Scrapple From The Apple ( A-7 | D7 | A-7 | D7 | G | C C#dim7 | G A-7 | B-7 E7 ) and give each chord 4 bars. That way you can stay in a chord for a longer time and work out choice notes, phrases, etc. Hell, do 8 bars per chord if you want. The idea is to get comfortable with each chord and hear it before the next chord comes. Have to try this, maybe this will help! Glorious!

Chat with Kyoko and Kota

It’s been very lonely here without Kyoko and Kota. I think my salvation has been our daily chats. Kota has grown so much during these last 5 weeks: he can say a lot of words and understands even more. He’s so fast at learning. He will usually pick up a new word after we repeat it a couple of times. Now is a time of great learning and development. I hope we can expose him to a lot of cool and interesting things.
