Kota’s first Halloween

Went trick-or-treating yesterday with Billy, Thuan, and Ashlinh, Vy, Stuart, and Austin. Kyoko and Kota have been back for a week, and Kota’s grown up a lot in the 6 weeks he was in Japan. He is more engaging, alert, talkative, expressive, etc. He can understand a lot of what we say, mostly in Japanese, which motivates me to keep studying and doing my Japanese homework. His English vocab will be there in no time. Today he said “poo poo” when I was changing his diaper and we’re wondering if it might be a good time to pull out the little potty we got?

Yes, it was a rat costume, so I guess ratatouille. Kota’s friend Ashlinh dressed up as a wizard and Austin was a pirate.
